Clean Your Oven While You Sleep

For this trick, all you’ll need is a few items you most likely already have in your home. Fill up a spray bottle with a homemade solution of 1/3 cup water, 1/3 cup white vinegar, and ½ cup baking soda. When the oven is cool, remove the grates and spray the solution throughout the oven, avoiding the heating elements. Close the door and go to bed, letting the solution sit for 12 hours. When you wake up, wipe down the oven with soapy water and dry with a plush cloth. Then, you’re all set!

Vacuum Your Cabinets

Cleaning cabinets can be extremely frustrating. Instead of wasting time trying to pick up crumbs with a cloth or wet rag, try the vacuum brush attachment. Not only is this technique easier, but it will reduce the amount of time spent cleaning your cabinets as well!

Polish Your Sink with Baking Soda and Rubbing Alcohol

Sinks are one of the most frequently used features in the kitchen and can be difficult to keep clean. Baking soda is a great cleaning agent in the kitchen because it doesn’t stain or scratch surfaces. Rinse your sink with water, and then sprinkle baking soda on the surface. Let the baking soda sit for about 15 minutes, then scrub it with a sponge and rinse again. Afterward, spray the sink with rubbing alcohol to leave your sink shining!

Use Citrus Peels as An All-Purpose Cleaner

Next time you have citrus fruits in your house, don’t throw the peels out! Citrus peels can be extremely helpful in cleaning efforts because the peels contain an oil called D-limonene, which acts as a strong solvent for dirt and even greasy dirt. Place all your peels into a large jar and add vinegar until they are fully submerged. Leave the mixture alone for about two weeks. Afterward, add the liquid to a spray bottle, and your all-purpose cleaner is ready to work its magic. This spray will work well on stovetops, kitchen floors, countertops, and any other surface in your cooking space. Not only will this mixture leave your space clean, but it will also leave it with a pleasant scent!
